Trish, I share, more than share, I am committed, and have been for a long time, the view that "it’s important not to get stuck only with the music of our younger years...closing the door on the new limits our perspective, our opportunities, and our readiness to keep up the search – and therein may be the passage from mature to just plain old".

This applies to other aspects of our lives: Living in the past is a resignation that the best is behind us, and I will never accept that premise.

Anyhow, Judy and I love your writing and views and your blog.

For my favorite new music try the album Rook, by Shearwater. It can be downloaded from Amazon.com

Thanks, Donna, and I have played with Pandora some. I'm always tickled with that nifty little "style" description that shows up when you create a new "station" - a musical analysis that far surpasses my own like-it/don't-like-it musical savvy.

If you're looking for new music, try Pandora -- it's wonderful for finding new music that sounds similar to things you already like!
